The SME COMPETE+ Project is a proposed five-year initiative of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), with support from the World Bank, that seeks to accelerate the growth and competitiveness of Philippine micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) by enhancing their access to export markets and integration into domestic and global value chains.

As part of the Project’s environmental and social due diligence process, the initial draft E&S instruments were disclosed for public review and comment in February 2026. Following this, a Multi-Stakeholder Environmental and Social (E&S) Consultation was conducted on 13 April 2026 in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig City. Based on the feedback and recommendations received through the public disclosure and stakeholder consultation processes, refinements were made to the Project’s E&S instruments.

The updated documents are:
Environmental and Social Commitment Plan (ESCP);
Stakeholder Engagement Plan (SEP);
SBCorp.’s Environmental and Social Management System (ESMS).

Interested stakeholders may submit their comments and recommendations to dtiescompete@gmail.com. Public feedback will help ensure that the SME COMPETE+ Project is implemented in an inclusive, environmentally sustainable, and socially responsible manner.

Thank you.
